Naja Necklace
$285.00
Design Elements
This necklace is part of a turquoise one of a kind collection. Each piece draws on my Chickasaw Native roots and the beauty of traditional silversmithing.
A Naja Crescent has been hand forged in sterling silver. A stunning turquoise is set in a fine silver bezel with a serrated pattern. The pendant hangs on a sterling silver unseamed snake chain.
This is a one of a kind necklace and is the only one like it that will be made.

The Naja
Around the 1820's, Tribes of the Southern Plains were using German silver to create wearable goods. During this time, the upside down crescent became popular in native jewelry, especially that of the Navajo. The Navajo call this shape the "naja."
