The custom design process at Redbud Jewelry tends to be more collaborative than at some jewelers. What that means is that rather than just recreating a sketch or image you have in mind, Janeane really wants to collaborate on the design, putting her own "spin" on the final look of the ring. If you like the work of hers that you see on this page and you are interested in collaborating with an artist and incorporating her ideas as well as your own, this could be a good fit!

Janeane's custom design work starts at $1000 for plain gold bands (no stones) and $2000 for any work with stones. While much depends on the stones and complexity of design, a basic solitaire-style sapphire ring will be closer to the $2000 end of the budget. Janeane will always work within your budget and will be very upfront about what she can create in this price range for you.

At this time we do not melt down or reuse metals from other work.

Yes! Janeane has a great network of ethical suppliers of fine gemstones. We can find the most unique, perfect stone for your piece!

Janeane currently works in 14k (or higher) yellow, rose, or white gold. Depending on the design, she also works in platinum. At this time, she does not work in any "modern metals" like titanium, cobalt, etc.

Janeane's current process takes about 12 - 14 weeks but can take longer depending on the time it takes to source stones and finalize designs.
