FAQs
Yes! Janeane has worked with hundreds of couples and will make sure your ring is of the highest hand fabricated quality. This fabrication technique is extremely accessible and you will love what you create!
Due to the popularity of this workshop (especially workshops taking place on the weekends) we recommend booking your date 3 - 4 months in advance of when you'd like to come in to create your rings.
The answer in most cases is yes. If you are interested in "extras" like stone setting or engraving some of these steps might take up to four weeks after your workshop is complete. This will be discussed in your consultation.
Much depends on the style of ring and type of gold you wish to use in the workshop. Most couples spend approx. $1200 - 1600 on 2 rings in this workshop. The price tends to be fairly comparable to buying a band in a jewelry store.
The price breaks down to the following:
Workshop Fee
($300 for one ring, $600 for two rings)

We work in

*Sterling Silver
There are some durability concerns to keep in mind with silver which Janeane will discuss with you during your consultation.
We do not work in titanium, cobalt, or any of the "modern metals" as the process of working with these is very different and not as accessible to beginners.
This answer to this varies design by design. We can discuss any ideas you have at your consultation. Janeane's goal is to be sure your ring is professional quality keeping in mind that you are a beginner. This means that there are designs that are too complex to achieve in this workshop but Janeane can usually recommend something "in the spirit" of your desired design that you can achieve on your own in this workshop.
Unfortunately with this style of fabrication work we cannot repurpose old gold or silver.
Yes! You can add up to three stones to your ring and Janeane is happy to help source them for you. There are more limited styles for setting the stones in your workshop ring, which Janeane will discuss with you at your consultation.
Janeane will set the stones for you after your workshop, which will take up to 4 weeks - time you'll want to build into the timeline for your ring creation.
